The Next Step

Ruffled Butterflies III 1500pix Compressed.jpg

This time in my life has revealed more than I ever hoped for or dreamed of.

The hours I sit at my workbench and stand at my soldering station, have been time well spent.

By day I look at the glimmering gemstones on my worktable.

At night I lie in my bed and dream up designs to use them in.

The fact that someone loves a piece I produce, much less pay hard-earned money to buy it, makes my heart swell.

I think this process might be just below the pain of childbirth.  Okay, maybe not that close, but putting my jewelry out into the world, has often choked me up and brought me to my knees.

This time in my life (the last 10 years) has been a gamble. If you know me, I do not gamble.  It is not that I would not like to, but the fact is I do not like to lose.  Yep, I played competitive sports sometime in my past life.

Okay.  I will do it.  I will proceed with the process.

For weeks I have worked on a new line of jewelry.  Seven necklaces.  Five rings.  Five pairs of earrings and more on the worktable.  I cannot stop.  The inspiration abounds.

I hope you like them.  They are my children.  Each one birthed on top of a small work space, in my home studio, in Katy, Texas.

Oh, and I have a new website. I have also been working on my business, Diane Cook Jewelry. I have had help. Thank you blixbuilt.com . Jeanette, you are a great web designer!

I hope you like my new website.  And, that you visit often.  And, that you might like to sign up for my newsletter.  That way, when I have my new line ready for its debut, and when I have my newest online class ready to cast out into the world (yep, it has been a while. 2015 to be exact), you will be the first to know.

Here I go.  A lovely group of Ruffled Butterfly Rings. I have necklaces too. And, a nice group of saw & hand-scalloped earrings. They all should be in my shop soon. I will let you know just when. Did you sign up for my newsletter? That’s how you will know just when.

This is just a smidge painful.
