About Diane

I have created art of some kind since I was 6 years old, but it wasn’t until I attended my first art retreat in Hampton, Virginia, did the artistic life I yearned for suddenly begin.  That’s when I discovered dreams really do come true….as now, I am living it!

My style of jewelry is what I call ‘Texas Tarnished’.  It is designed to have a look of tarnished silver, an organic hand-crafted feel, along with a kiss of the refined. Each piece is lovingly bench-made in my studio, in Katy, Texas.  One piece at a time, with an emphasis on the use of bench tools only.

My insatiable love for all kinds of metal work, along with the amazing array of available gemstones, have become an ever-present source of inspiration.  When not teaching metal smith classes and working on new jewelry designs for upcoming classes, my love of spending time with my grandchildren, gardening, reading, and mixed media painting, keeps me busy.

I have joyfully been following my life-long passion of teaching since retiring from the financial world, in 2010.  Currently I teach all levels of metalsmith classes at a fully equipped metal studio called Multiplicity Art Studio, in Katy, Texas. I am also the Creative Workshop Coordinator for the studio, which I really enjoy!

I hope I am blessed to see you in one of my upcoming classes, at Multiplicity Art Studio. Until then, take care!
